Who we are
HRDF grew out of Hamwattan Centre, which has served east Leeds since 2008. We exist to relieve hardship, protect health and make sure everyone in our community has somewhere to belong.
This week
Times and activities may vary, especially during holidays and Ramadan — please call for the latest programme.
Your gift in action
Whatever you can give goes straight into meals, activities and support for local people.
£5 could provide a hot lunch and a cup of tea for one person.
Give £5£25 could fund a month of chair-based exercise for one member.
Give £25£50 could pay for one-to-one digital support sessions.
Give £50£100 could support a local family through a moment of hardship.
Give £100Questions
Everyone is welcome. Our community is rooted in the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities of east Leeds, and our sessions are open to people of all ages and backgrounds — carers, family and friends included.
For most sessions you can simply turn up. If it's your first visit, give us a call so we can say hello and make sure there's a seat for you.
All of our activities are free or low cost. We never want cost to be the reason someone misses out, so if money is tight, talk to us.
Our team and volunteers speak English and several community languages, including Urdu and Punjabi. Just ask.
Donations pay directly for meals, activities, equipment and support for local people. You can give to a specific programme or let us use it where it is needed most.
Every gift, every hour volunteered and every partnership helps a neighbour feel less alone.
